The HTC S620 is an interesting one, being a past owner of two HTC Windows SmartPhones:
Orange c500 & c600
Now, I’m relatively pro Microsoft (you can probably tell from a few of my posts), but I am not really a fan of Windows Mobile SmartPhone v5.0. In my opinion, the Series 60 platform wins hands down on usability and now functionality with all the push mail solutions available.
So as good as the S620’s credentials are, I have to say its a bit of a non-starter for me. MobileBurn have reviewed the handset here, concluding that it is a very capable device. I don’t disagree, but guarantee that you will not enjoy the clunky interface after you get over your honeymoon period!
The sad thing is that, if Windows Mobile SmartPhone v6.0 is anything like Windows Mobile Pocket PC v6.0, things don’t look look like they are going to improve anytime soon … they’ll just get a bit more pretty!
